I had a great day spending my 25th birthday with Matt, Ethan, and Elly! Ethan and Elly were so sweet telling me "Happy Birthday" all throughout the day:)

And, even though I do not have one YET....my birthday gift this year is a DOG!!! I have been begging Matt for a dog since we got married probably and he told me we could get one! We went to the animal shelter, but didn't see anything, so we're going to keep looking:) So excited!!!

After church today (we go to the early service), I am going to be starting my new volunteer job as a children's teacher (2-5 year olds) for the 11:15 service! So nervous and excited!:)

Play Date/Birthday: Part 1

We had such a fun day today!
Ethan, Elly, and I went over to our good friends' house for our annual Easter Egg Hunt play date;) Well, we started the tradition last year, but we wanted to do it again:)

This year we celebrated it the day before my birthday, so along with the cute cross pretzels, peeps, and bunny/flower cookies for Easter, she also made me such a sweet birthday cake!! It was so yummy:)

Jumping and Reading!

Spring Break has been off to a great start!

Monday, was not filled with a ton of fun for Ethan and Elly since it was so wet and yucky outside, but I did get a whole lot done around the house and they still got to ride their bikes in the garage lol!

Tuesday I took them to Jumpits and they had a blast! 

Ethan met two other Ethan's while we were there!! One of them he played with pretty much the whole time we were there. He had a twin sister and they were only one month older. Leave it to Ethan to make a friend anywhere we go, no matter what age lol! Their grandma was there with them, so I sat and talked with her while the kids played:) 

Elly had lots of fun, too, and I went and played with her a lot:) Then, Katy Perry came on and she stopped and just sang...the entire song. She sat like this and just sang and didn't care who was watching (which people were watching haha). A lady said she will look for her on American Idol lol! 

We also had lots of outside playtime since it was so nice out:)

Wednesday we met our friends from school at Barnes and Noble for their story time.

While we were in the back, Elly's friend was taking a walk with her dad and brother and when she saw Elly, she ran in our backyard and played for a little with Elly in the sandbox:)

Ethan and Elly were definitely worn out by the time Lucas and his mom left. Ethan actually walked straight to his room, took his pants off and got in bed and fell asleep haha. Elly layed on the couch and fell asleep shortly after also, so it was a nice quiet time for a little bit:)

Tomorrow we are very excited to be spending the day at our good friend's house and going to have an Easter Egg hunt!!

A Little Randomness, A Lot of Love!

Hello Monday....hello Spring Break!!:) 

Yes, Ethan is on Spring Break this week and I am SO excited!! We have no plans to go out of town or anything, but I am just so excited for him to be home with us! 

So, I fully anticipated that today would be an indoor day because it is pouring down rain and thunderstorms right now and will be most of the day.  That is why I did the grocery shopping yesterday;) I thought that one through lol! How fun would that have been to go grocery shopping in a thunderstorm with two kids;) (It's not, I've had to do it before!!)

So, last Wednesday, I wasn't able to take Ethan to school due to a car issue. So, this is Ethan and Elly enjoying the back yard together that morning and me enjoying some coffee on the patio for the first time this Spring;) (I like how the clouds are reflected on the coffee and table!)

On Friday after school, while Elly had fallen alseep, Ethan gave me a gun and asked if I would be the bad guy and he would be the good guy. He was hiding behind the corner and I was hiding behind the counter. I stuck my phone up there to snap a picture of him as he came out to shoot me real quick:)

Saturday morning, Matt took Ethan to the Home Depot for the Kids Workshop. He was so cute when he got home, showing off his birdbath/bird feeder and his cool apron:)

He also brought Elly a cow from her favorite place, "Chick-A-Lay" lol

Saturday we just spent the day playing outside and doing yard work.....

Next project...extending the patio...And still trying to figure out if my vines are going to make it! I think the freeze really got to them this Winter!:(

Sunday afternoon, after church and shopping, I was outside with Ethan and Elly and they kept bringing me the dandelions. I went inside and got them each a ziplock bag and told them to put as many in their bags as they could haha! I remember doing that when I was a kid, too:)  They had so much fun running around the yard filling their bags:)

Lately, they have been getting really creative with playing. They, for the most part, play really well together and sometimes I just sit there smiling at them because it makes me so happy:) Elly lined two chairs up and said it was a plane. So, she was the pilot and Ethan was the wings lol! One time, she lined all four chairs up and pretended like it was a bus, she even put stuffed animals on it for passengers lol!

It's April!!

I love this month!! Maybe because Matt and I both have birthday's and it's just so fun! And, today is my favorite...April Fool's Day!:)

For Christmas, Ethan made us a 2014 calendar and every month has a picture he made with his hands..so sweet!! I love this one with the rainbow:)

So, I texted Matt this morning telling him I wanted another baby and he, of course, didn't fall for it and also responded by saying, "I can't wait to see the tape on the water sprayer when I get home"! haha I seriously do it every year and he NEVER falls for it!! So, I told him I was planning on it, so now that he thinks I'm not going to do it, I totally should and he will have water all over him!!!;) 

Elly and me #teambureaugirls HAHA just a little hashtag I made to annoy Matt;) I text it to him anytime I tell him something about Elly and me lol!!

Elly wanted to be a lion over the weekend. This is what she and Ethan both wore for their first Halloween's. 

She wanted to "scrath" Ethan with the paws lol! 

Those are the only pictures I have from our weekend. Friday after picking Ethan up, we went to Matt's dad's house to hang out and then went to dinner with them.

Saturday was rainy and gross, but Matt had bought two tickets to the USA Rugby game that was at KSU and he took Ethan with him. They only stayed for about 30 min. b/c it was so cold and pouring rain and Sunday we went to church and had a relaxing day playing outside:)

Elly said, "I'm all ready to take Ethan to school!" Ummmm...this happens every single morning and some days I just don't care and let her go with what she put on, this day, however, I had her change hahaha!! But, as soon as we got home she put it back on. I can't win;)
