Here we go again!!

So, I wrote about the snow storm we had just two weeks ago, and here we are again, experiencing yet another winter storm!!

Ethan has not had school since Monday and Matt has not been to work since Tuesday, so we have had a lot of fun being together:)

Tuesday ice

Wednesday ice

Tuesday swing set (Look at all that water)

                                                         Wednesday swing set!

View from the front porch around 7:30 am Wednesday morning.

So, since Ethan has been home, we were trying to find some fun things to do inside.

Ethan and Elly on Tuesday looking out the window at a big bird that was in the tree. They are using Ethan's pirate telescopes lol!

I built them a fort on Tuesday in the living room using the kitchen chairs and a fitted sheet. They had so much fun under it. I popped them some popcorn and they watched Despicable Me 2:)

Elly fell asleep under the fort:)

I went outside to take a picture of how much water and slush is in our yard and told Ethan and Elly to not follow me, and there is Elly being a good listener;)

Never a dull moment with her around! Singing all day! She used the ottoman as a stage and singing "Let It Go"

Then, on Wednesday night it snowed!! Lots of snow!! Oh my, waking up to the most beautiful sight Thursday morning!

Ethan and Elly looking out, begging me to take them outside:) We went out around 8 am.

Not thrilled I asked them to pose for a picture haha!!

Went to our neighbors house to attempt to sled in a baby pool...didn't work out too well haha!

Elly eating snow.....oh dear!!

Taking a walk around the neighborhood!

Swing set at 7 am                                                     Swing set at 2 pm (what are we going to                                                                                                             do about all of this water!!!??)

So, yes, now everything is melting super fast. The roads are all fine and not much left to play in. Glad we went out early so we could have some fun:)
Still waiting to see if Ethan has school or not and more than likely, Matt and I will still get to go on a Valentine's Date!!:)

It's a love story

I'll never forget when I met Matt twelve years ago. It was 7th grade Reading class. We had been in the class all year and didn't really talk, but one thing I do remember saying to him was when we were sitting next to each other and I asked him if he would move over to the next seat so that my friend, Lindsay, could sit next to me. He was very sweet and moved, but gosh that was so rude of me!! We also went to the same high school and just talked here and there. We had a few classes together, but I remember him the most in my Spanish class our Junior year. I was sort of a class clown in that class, and he was very serious, being in ROTC and everything, I just figured I was not his type at all.
Then, thanks to good ole' Myspace, we connected shortly after we graduated from high school. I was not sure at all what I wanted to do with my life, I was so lost at that time. I changed my mind a lot and at the time I started talking to him, I was currently talking with recruiters of all the branches of the military. I saw that he had just graduated from the Marine Corps boot camp, so at first, I was just talking to him over myspace and asking him questions, he of course said that the Marine Corps was the best lol. So, I joined! Yes, I went to MEPS and I swore in and everything. THEN, long story short, Matt and I started dating and got really serious and I decided that if we really wanted to be together, maybe the military was not the best for me. I got out and we were together.
This was Matt's profile picture from Myspace back in 2007-so handsome:)

Here we are Christmas Eve 2007-our very first picture together:)

February 2008 when I went down to NAS Pensacola to visit him while he was in MOS school:) We got matching shirts!!

In Pensacola..

This was March 2008 when he came home from finished MOS school. He had spent the last month in San Diego. I also flew out to visit him while he was there.

The day he checked in at NAS Atlanta:)

We got married after 9 months of dating at the age of 19 and have now been married for almost 5 1/2 years!
It's so crazy how the time has flown by so fast! It has definitely not been easy, but we have made it work:)

Meet Ethan

Meet Ethan, our firstborn:)
Ethan is five years old, really?! Still can't believe I have a five year old! He started Pre-K August 2013 and will start Kindergarten in August 2014!!
He is very outgoing, I mean VERY!! It's been such an adjustment for me because I am typically very shy, just want to be invisible sometimes, but not with Ethan around;) I have to say, though, he has made me a few friends because of it;) haha! Just working on him not talking to people he doesn't know....some pretty sketchy people out there!
He loves to ride his bike and dig in the sandbox. He also has really enjoyed playing baseball the last two years and will play again this summer:)
He says some of the funniest and most interesting things. I definitely think he takes after his daddy a lot, he looks a lot like him, too;) With blonde hair and blue eyes!
He loves cookies and his favorite color is red....he tells that to just about everyone! Oh and he has liked Thomas ad Friends since he was one, it's still one of his favorites and he has way too many train tracks and trains to keep up with!

Ethan sporting his new belt he asked us for so he could put his binoculars and nerf gun on it:)

Showing off his race car he built and painted at Home Depot Kids Workshop:)

He is in The 5 Year Old Club in his class now! (not sure what face that is he's making lol)

Riding his new bike he got for Christmas!

He really likes Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, can you tell?

He loves to go to IKEA with me, and we always stop to get him an ice-cream cone.

Ethan as Jake and his friend Kara as Draculaura on Halloween.

Ethan asked us to get some bird seed so that he could make a peanut butter pine cone feeder for the birds this winter, and this was his reaction when Matt came home with it:)

A little humor behind my blog title;)

I'll never forget the first time I was introduced to coffee. I was only in 7th grade and my aunt and uncle were in town visiting from Arizona. They love coffee and wanted to take me to Starbucks for my very first coffee experience, little did they know I'd be hooked for life;) haha actually I didn't really start drinking it until my Senior year of high school. I remember getting up early and drinking some coffee and making breakfast before I went to school.  I absolutely love to take my time when I have somewhere to go, I do not like to rush.  I don't have to leave the house until abut 7:35 am to take Ethan to school, but I get up at 5:15 so I can enjoy my beloved coffee:)
Which is why I chose the name, "Is It Time For Coffee?" as the title of my blog:) I enjoy all the things the day brings, but there is just nothing like a quiet morning with a cup of coffee in my hand:)
Here are some funny ecards I saw on Pinterest!

Meet Elly

Meet Elly, our three year old "princess" as she says;)
She has definitely started to become her own person since she turned three in November. She wants to do everything herself (like most her age) and she doesn't "need any help". She used to be very quiet around other people, but now, out of nowhere, she talks to everyone. I think she mostly does it to be like her older brother, who talks to anyone he sees and tells them his whole life story;)
Like most little girls, Elly loves to sing, dance, and play dress up:) Pretty much anything girly. However, she still likes to go in the yard and get dirty and ride bikes with Ethan:) She is very goofy and makes the funniest faces:)
Some of her favorite songs that she sings constantly are: "Roar" -Katy Perry, "Brave" - Sara Bareilles, "Helping Twilight Sparkle Win The Crown" - Equestria Girls, "Good Time" - Owl City Ft. Carly Rae Jepsen, "Let It Go"- from the movie "Frozen" and many more haha!!
She is also really into My Little Pony, Equestria Girls, Sofia The First (and disney princess actually) and LaLaLoopsy:)
She definitely makes our lives a lot more entertaining!

Did I mention she loves to make silly faces;)
